Leave the bag taped over to start. The block may need time to fully colonize, we advise leaving the block in a room with no direct sunlight and around 70°- 75° for at least a week, this will ensure the block is ready to start fruiting.
To start fruiting, the tempurate must be dropped to around 55°- 60°
Cut 2 slits on the upper side of the block, about 2 inches in size. Idealy the slits need to be around a silver dollar in size.
Spray the block twice, daily or as needed. Be sure to spray the plastic AROUND the slits and not directly on the fruit itself. The spraying helps keep the humidity levels high, but may damage the fruit itself if it gets sprayed directly .
Lion's mane is easy to grow and the tempuratures are for ideal growing parameters, but the mushrooms will grow at a very wide range of temps and humidity
For a 2nd flush of mushrooms you can now remove the tape from the bottom and fold the top part of the bag over the first harvest slits. Cut new slits on the other side of the bag. Spray 2-3times a day for about 12-14days till 2nd harvest.
